Pada 1926, Zending Belanda mulai mendirikan Sekolah Rakyat (SR) di Tamalea untuk kelas satu hingga tiga. Setahun berikutnya, 1927 didirikan lagi SR di Malolo, namun bukan di Kota Kalumpang. Tahun 1930 di Pulo Karama, lalu di Pa'bentengan berupa sekolah lanjutan untuk kelas empat hingga enam dengan sebutan Veer Volog School (VVS).

Setelah perang dunia kedua, Universitas Sorbonne, Paris, melibatkan diri dalam penelitian situs Sampaga (kawasan dekat muara Sungai Karama). Perhatian mereka terpusat pada relief pola desain tembikar yang ditemukan di Minanga Sipakko. Penelusuran situs sampai ke hulu Sungai Karama (yang biasa juga disebut Sungai Sampaga dalam beberapa tulisan) membawa mereka pada masyarakat Kalumpang.

Kalumpang adalah situs yang oleh para arkeolog dianggap bisa membuka tabir sejarah pertanian awal orang-orang di Pulau Sulawesi. Menurut Asfriyanto, seorang arkeolog muda, "Menariknya, daerah Kalumpang j uga memiliki mitos suci tentang padi yang berbeda dengan mitos padi seperti yang termaktub dalam naskah La Galigo, naskah yang selama ini dipandang para ahli sebagai ingatan sejarah orang-orang Bugis yang paling purba."

Tambahnya, "Jika mitos orang Bugis mengatakan tanaman padi berasal dari badan Sangiang Seri, salah satu anak dari Patotoqe sang penguasa di Botting Langi', maka mitos padi orang Kalumpang justru berasal dari tumbuhan Dewa, yang muasal benihnya dari tanah dewa di seberang lautan yang kemudian dibawa oleh nenek moyang dengan perahu ke Kalumpang dan ditanam di atas batu di puncak gunung. Mitos tentang padi ditemukan dalam nyanyian "ma'ole" atau nyanyian panjang orang Kalumpang yang menggunakan bahasa Kalumpang purba yang saat ini penuturnya tinggal dua orang tua berusia lanjut.

Konon, benih padi itu masih ada di puncak gunung yang terletak tidak jauh dari kampung Kalumpang. Setiap tahu n padi itu tetap tumbuh. Sampai tahun 1960-an orang-orang Kalumpang masih mengandalkan benih padi yang berasal dari puncak gunung itu.

Padi yang tumbuh di puncak bukit batangnya lebih besar dari batang padi yang ada sekarang, bulir padinya lebih kecil, namun sangat rimbun. Selain dimanfaaatkan sebagi bibit, tumbuhnya batang padi di puncak bukit itu dijadikan penanda bagi orang Kalumpang untuk memulai menanam padi. Sayang, usia panennya mencapai enam bulan. Karena itu, dengan masuknya program intensifikasi pertanian oleh pemerintah diawal tahun 1970-an, bibit padi lokal tersebut diganti dengan bibit yang lebih bagus dengan masa panen tiga bulan sekali.

Sejak proses pergantian varietas padi itulah orang-orang Kalumpang mulai mengenal hama padi dan insektisida. Asfriyanto mengutip pendapat pendeta Mardi Tamandalan, "Masih ada penduduk yang menanam bibit padi gunung seperti itu, tapi letaknya di hulu sungai Karama. Pa di gunung itu rasanya enak sekali. Saya dulu sering makan waktu masih kecil, tapi sekarang sudah susah dicari."

Patung Sikendeng

Sungai Karama menyimpan banyak misteri dan pernah menjadi saksi sejarah peradaban Nusantara. Di Sikendeng, sekitar 10 km dari muara Sungai Karama, pernah ditemukan patung Buddha berbahan perunggu, yang kemudian diberi nama Patung Sikendeng, sebab ditemukan di Sikendeng.

Situs bersejarah ini ditemukan oleh A. Maula, seorang penilik sekolah daerah setempat. Dan atas perintah Caron, gubernur waktu itu, patung dibawa ke Makassar. Untuk kemudian Dr. F.D.K. Bosch membandingkannya dengan patung-patung Buddha yang ada di Borobudur dan Palembang yang termasuk tradisi Hindu Jawa dan Hindu Sumatera.

Dari hasil penelitian di simpulkan, gaya patung Sikendeng mempunyai ciri yang khas sebagaimana mantel biarawan Sanghati yang berlipat-lipat di lukiskan. lipatan-lipatan terjadi karena kain penutup bahu kiri ditarik keras, menyebabkan jalur-jalur dangkal pada kain tersebut. Di samping itu badan yang ramping seperti wanita, raut muka bulat, leher berisi, mulut kecil bibir tebal.

Dibandingkan dengan gaya dan bentuk patung perunggu Buddha lainnya seperti dari Solok jambi, Kotabangun Kalimantan Barat dan patung dari Gunung Lawu Jawa Hindu kelihatannya tidak mempunyai kesamaan. Kelihatannya patung itu dipengaruhi oleh gaya Buddha Greeco yang terdapat di India Selatan.

Di Amarawaty India Selatan pernah ada tradisi pembuatan patung yang mirip dengan gaya patung yang ditemukan di Sikendeng, terutama cara pemakaian dengan jalur-jalur yang dangkal dan cara menutup bahu dengan kain yang berlipat-lipat.

Dr. Bosch akhirnya berkesimpulan bahwa patung Sikendeng dibawa langsung dari India Selatan dan mungkin dari Amarawaty. Masa penyebar annya mungkin terjadi antara abad ke-2 - 7 M. Penemuan tersebut mengisyaratkan, pernah terdapat kerajaan atau perkampungan tua, dan bahkan ada yang berpendapat bahwa kerajaan atau perkampungan di wilayah penemuan benda-benda atau alat-alat dari batu dan gerabah adalah kerajaan atau perkampungan tertua di Mandar atau Sulawesi Barat.

Pamor mobil buatan siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Solo cukup menggemparkan. Tak hanya media lokal dan nasional yang penasaran untuk meliputnya.
Beberapa media asing seperti halnya Aljazeera juga ikut berlomba memberitakan mobil Kiat Esemka yang kini dipakai Walikota Solo, Joko Widodo sebagai mobil dinasnya.

Humas SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta, Kasmadi mengakui sejak berita keberhasilan siswa SMK Solo muncul, wartawan dari berbagai media langsung sibuk mencarinya maupun menghubungi telepon genggamnya. Bahkan, sejumlah media asing juga tak ketinggalan meneleponnya untuk melakukan wawancara mobil Esemka.

"Pada hari Kamis pekan lalu, salah satu media dari Malaysia mewawancarai saya lewat telepon. Namun, nama medianya saya lupa. Terus, tiga hari lalu ada media dari Australia juga menelon saya untuk wawancara," kata Kasmadi, kepada VIVAnews.com, Kamis 12 Januari 2012.

Dijelaskan dia, wartawan dari media asing tersebut menanyakan tentang kemampu an para siswa SMK membuat mobil. "Mereka penasaran saja kok yang mengerjakan pembuatan mobil itu siswa sekolah. Ya hampir semuanya menanyakan tentang rasa penasaran itu. Bahkan, media dari Malaysia sangat mendukung program mobil Esemka," jelasnya.

Selain media dari Malaysia dan Australia, media elektronik Aljazeera Network pun melakukan peliputan langsung di Solo Techno Park sebagai tempat perakitan mobil Kiat Esemka. Seperti dikatakan Correspondent-Jakarta Bureau Aljazeera Network, Stephanie Vaessen bahwa berita mobil Esemka cukup menarik karena yang membuatnya adalah para siswa.

"Ini sangat penting karena mobil ini dibuat oleh siswa SMK sehingga menjadi harapan bangsa. Selama ini, pasar mobil di Indonesia dikuasai oleh mobil Jepang, Korea dan Eropa. Jadi, kemunculan mobil Esemka cukup menarik," kata Stephanie yang ditemani dua kru, kameramen dan produser.

The word ideology is not foreign to us. But is it really an ideology? How it goes? What kind of ideology in this world? Here I will discuss the ideology starts from understanding the development of ideology, ideological forms and a wide range of ideologies in the world.

Understanding ideological change from time to time. The word ideology was first echoed by Antoine Destutt de Tracy (1754-1836) who lived during the French revolution. Etymologically, the ideology derived from the idea (an idea, an idea) and ology (logos, science).
